Mummy's Birthday

Its mummy birthday and Daddy brought the 2 girls down town and gave Mummy a surprise with a bouquet of flower. Knowing Mummy does not like flower, Amber offered to hold it instead. Thanks Amber.
Have a simple meal at one of the Japanese Restuarant at Raffles City before we headed home.
Amber planted a kiss on Mummy's cheek before she turn in to bed and wishes Mummy a Happy Birthday!!! What a sweet girl she is :)). Imagine she have grown to be rather shy now and that she always refuse to kiss Daddy and Mummy when ask to. hahahah....... I guess Daddy must have been negotiating with her today. Nevertheless., thanks Daddy, Amber and Kymber.

Heres a little update.

Kymber's dad brought everyone a cake for celebration(:
Its AhQi followed by Mommy, WeiJie, Ahma, Kymber and Uncle's
birthday. Look at Kymber in the photo, her eyes had been
concentrating on the heart shaped cake.

Very excited for her, isn't it? :D

Her wish came true, blowing off the candles on her first cake by
herself. She even pointed twist for phototaking.

From here, I wish Kymber to grow up healthly.
Remain her cuteness and have a wonderful childhood memories.

4th Day in School

On the 4th day of School

Mummy is not taking leave on the 4th day of Kymber school and Popo is being instructed to bring her to school on behalf.

Accordingly to Popo, when Kymber reached school, she went straight to her teacher and join the kids and upon seeing this, the teacher signal to Popo to leave the school. So Kymber was on her own today hahaha.............. Hooray...... :)

Teacher comment : when mummy is around, Kymber stick like super glue to mummy, however it was totally different when it come to Popo. LOL.......... yeap, thats my Kymber darling...

As such, conclusion : Kymber is independant on her 4th day of school. Hip Hip Hooray.........

2nd Day in School

2nd day in school.

Unlike the 1st day, mummy allowed Kymber to sleep an hour extra as other parent does not usually sent their kids to the centre that early. So we reached school at around 845am on the 2nd day.

Same as 1st day, some music and morning prayer, then the kids was asked to queue to get ready for breakfast. All the kids formed a line with both hand on the shoulder of the one infront but Kymber being unfamiliar with such act refused to let any of the kid leave their little hand on her shoulder, LOL and the line before Kymber broke because she keep pushing the hand behind her away, the kids being trained just keep re-putting her hand on Kymber again and still Kymber keep pushing it away and so the line was never quite form, although the room to the toilet was just about 6 or 7 steps away for the adult, those kids after Kymber just could not reached it as easily as they used to.hahahaha..........

Morning menu was Kaya bread with Milo and Kymber had a second helping. :))

Today, the form teacher get Kymber to sit down and did some art. Hahah...... easy one, just need to take the colour paper that had been roll into a ball and press it onto the paper plate already created by the teacher. This is the first time Mummy even see Kymber sitting down doing something obediently. LOL.

First Day to School

First Day at School

Kymber started her trial officially this morning. She wake up at around 7am, get her dress and at the same time keep reminding her that she will be going to school today. She is quite co-operative allowing me to change her and reminded me to bring her school bag. LOL.......

Took a few pics of her BIG bag before we leave the house + few of her with her new friends at school. nice and cute.

Though its full day programme that she have enrolled, I am putting her on half day as trial.

First Day programme :
* reached around 8am * morning assembly, Kymber belongs to the Grace Class which is for those under 3 yrs.
* some music from the Chinese teacher with movement, followed by morning pray
* wash hand, getting ready for breakfast around 9am
* Today menu was Chee Cheong Fun for the Kids
* Kymber managed to finish ALL by herself, Mummy was very proud of her cos some of the other much elder Kid still requires the teacher to feed them.
* after meal, wash face and hand again
* then followed by Elmo's video
* slowly the kids were separated and return to their own group
* and the group where Kymber was in only have 3 toddlers (kymber inclusive),
* English teacher took over and followed by some children song,
* Mummy was again proud of Kymber as she is able to recognise many of the picture and animal toys on display,
* when teacher asked, she could name the animal or fruits, like tiger, elephant, duck, doggies, cat, flower, apple, sheep, bird, ball........
* soon it was 11am and the kids are being queue for their hand wash again, Yes lunchtime
* at 11am, the kids had their lunch, today menu was sweet and sour chicken with carrot and spanish with rice (mummy at this time have disappear to the front area and could hear Kymber asking for mummy mummy and when the teacher told her that mummy went toilet, she did not ask further)
* thru the glass and mirror, I could see Kymber having her lunch, at times helping herself and at times with teacher helped.
* as you know Kymber loves eating, so she finished her lunch again and was could not finish her dessert which is a piece of agar agar.
* the other kids who have finished their meal was slowly sitting at the small chair in the toilet waiting to get their bath and understand that the next programme will be nap time for the kids ususally from 12 to 3pm.
* Kymber did not stay for the bath as mummy felt Kymber is getting sleepy and decided to bring her home.
* she was very happy and waved to everyone bye....... bye....... many times

Our life

Many things happened during these "MIA" period.

Kymber
Kymber had a bad fall 2 weeks ago on her forehead. Damn the grandma for not taking good care of her and yet still pushed the blame to Amber for not taking care of her little sis while she prepare dinner. Have never meet someone as irresponsible as her and yet at the same time do not feel guilty nor apologisetic about the whole incident. Feel like punching her on the face - *Box* *Box*.
Everyone especially Ah ma felt so heart pain when they see her forehead with a big "pao". :(( Poor Kymber. If mummy have a choice, mummy would never wants to leave Kymber and Amber with her for a day.

Little Kymber is also able to understand Mandarin, English and Hokkien now and could speak q a lot. At 22+ months, she weighs a steady 13 KG.

She would very soon be admitting to Praiseland Education Centre coming Thus 18th Dec and mummy would bring her back from Ah Ma on Wed to prepare her for her school. Everyone at Ah ma house are beginning to feel sad of her returning back home. They felt that at 22 months its too young for her to admit to full day centre. Mummy would love to continue putting Kymber at Ah ma house since they could take very good care and provided for her however Kymber needs to come back sooner or later and Ah Ma's health is not as good as she used to be + plus Kymber does give a little trouble in the middle of the nite at times and that make it impossible for Ah ma to rest well. With a number of other factors, Kymber is coming back to her own home earlier than initial plan.

Amber

Amber have recovered from her chicken pox and is back to her normal self again. :) . She does not seems to have lot of pox on her body, not sure if that's what they meant as "false chicken pox".

Mummy is glad that Amber loved for drawing and colouring is still keeping her busy during this Dec's holiday. However mummy wishes that Amber could be more tidy with her stuff especially when it come to leaving her toy, stationery, dresses everywhere and not tidying them. This have been communicated to her many times but in vain. She just forget the next day, guess it does not help when the grandma herself does not bother to tidy the house.

We went to Muar during 6-8th Dec. With just Amber, Kymber, Ah ma, Ah Qi Jie Jie and Mummy. Yes the so-called "Lady Soldier". LOL

Mummy have not been updating the blog lately......... as 1) mummy have been busy searching for kids wear lobang as my other ventures 2) the kids are down with fever and cough.

Amber
Doctor confirmed that Amber had Chicken Pox this morning :( so there goes Amber's school holiday extra programe of 3 days holiday camp at Kids Kampong. Poor Amber have been looking forward to this camp. and also the 1 weeks reading programme at school which mummy have registered for her and there goes the S$80 + S$65 respectively since it is non-refundable :(.

Kymber
Bought Kymber to the Praiseland Education Center and placed her registeration fee with the Principal tis morning. She shall starts her trial class on the 18th Dec for 2 weeks before school reopen on the 2nd Jan next year. She doesn't seem to like it when I try to get her to join in the class with a few existing kids, but followed when I held her hand and show her some of the block and toys that is laying on the floor. Amber was with her when I sneaked out of the room, looking around the other area of the centre.
Poor Kymber was crying when I come back about 5 mins later and she run to me and indicated to me to go home :( even though Amber was with her all this while. It may take her a while before she can enjoy her school come 18th Dec I am sure......

Inflatable Pool

The Sisters love this inflatable Pool which we bought, especially Kymber. The Pool also fitted in nicely to the Master Bathroom.

If mummy need to use the PC for a little while, the next best location to put Kymber into will be this inflatable pool, (hahah...) where she will be playing on her own or with Jie Jie Amber.

Mummy also make sure that the water level is keep low (somewhere between her ankle and knee) as well to keep them safe if they are playing alone. The bottom of this pool is also not slippery as such Kymber is also allowed to play by herself.

However if mummy or daddy is around to play with them, the water level will be slighter higher around their tummy when they are sitted.

Jesse happened to be in Singapore when they have their first try of this wonderful pool. Catch them in action.

Brief explanation.

This post is managed by AhQi Jiejie again. Kymber was so in love with camera recently. Once I got into Grandma's house, she would start randomly checking my bag for camera. And when she got it, she would try to on it and snapshot anything that got in her way. Below are some of the photos that she requested me to take for her. Enjoy(:

Oh yah, just to mention one thing. The lady in green was the one that Kymber always called 'AhKeng'. Got one of the photo was left with a big cross as my face looks stupid and wasn't ready. Kymber had a good shot! :D

Little Girl's Big Toe Ripped Off

The front cover of today New Paper have this heading "Little Girl's Big Toe Ripped Off" on how a 4 year old girl's rubber clog gets caught in escalator at one of Singapore Mall.

This topic and news bought back fresh memory that happened just less than a week ago on how Amber nearly lost her toes too. (The blog that I have posted on 2nd Oct).

This little girl from Japan unfortunately is not as lucky as Amber. Accordingly to the report, She was at the mall that day with her parent to shop for a magazine rack when they got onto an escalator on the second story. The girl stood alone on one of the steps, in between her mother in front and her father behind her. While they were about midway up the escalator, the girl turned to speak to her father, that was when her left foot got trapped.

She screamed and called out in Japanese : "Ma! Pain!".

Her mother noticed that her daughter's legs were twisted in an awkward position and shouted to her hushand :"Her leg!". Her father lifted her up, not realising her foot was trapped and it caused her big toe to be ripped off. Her left sock and shoe - a Crocs rubber clog - remained stuck in the escalator. All this while, the escalator kept moving.

When they reached the third storey, the couple's cries for help attracted a few shop owners and passers-by, one of whom called for an ambulance. Meanwhile, the girl sat on a chair offered by one of the shop owners, blood dripping from her open wound

Paramedics from the Singapore Civil Defence Force bandaged the wound on the way to KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

She underwent a one-hour long operation under general anaesthesia and was warded for two days. However doctors were unable to re-attach her toe, which the mall's maintenance personnel and mechanics from the escalator company took two hours to retrieve.

"The doctor said that the toe, the tendons, bone, skin and blood vessels, were too crushed, and that there was no way to sew the toe back on to her foot".

Doesn't all these looked and sound so very familiar to the earliest blog that I have posted? I felt so very sorry for the little girl and her parent, this is very unfortunate to happen and can definitely understand the worried, pain and psychological impact of the incident on their child. Afterall, I could not get to sleep even after the incident.

Found a numbers of old pics and video taken some times back for both Amber and Kymber and hopefully for the next few posts I would be able to " turn back the clock" to blog these pics of theirs.

And in here, you would be able to see how much Amber have grown for the last 20 months since Kymber was born. From a little Jie Jie to a pretty K1 girl now. Infact I felt that Amber have shown a lot of improvement in many other areas too, Her English, Mandarin, Art as well as her physical built. Well in the video she can still be spot in her short short hairstyle as compare to her lovely long hair kept currently :).

Not forgetting of course how much Kymber have grown as well. From an infant to the little rascal now. She used to look so innocent like an angel, but now, OMG she is full of little ideas from eating, sleeping, outing and sweet talking the elderly.

A Narrow Escape for Amber

A NARROW ESCAPE FOR AMBER

We have our big state of fright last night at Downtown east. Amber shoes got caught with the escalator and suddenly she was screaming so loud, Daddy rushed to hold her but her shoes was caught tight at the side of the escalator and there was no way that he could pull her out, I tried to pull her leg but could not as it was stuck with her shoes. Situation was so chaotic and Daddy repeatedly shout of STOP STOP have weaken me. I rushed down to stop the escalator and shouting to people who have at this time being drawn to the attention from us.

I was so very very scared that her toes got stuck, could not pull it out at all and during this time Amber have been screaming . I do not know what was running down my head as I do not want to hurt her further.

At this time, one of the restaurant manager handed me a pair of scissor cos she thought Amber’s dress was caught. I just grabbed and hurried back to cut her shoes, not knowing what to think of and was afraid at the same time to see how her little toes could looks like being caught in that situation. Amber at that time was still very sober of what is happening and she shouted to me not to cut her leg :) when she saw me approached her with the pair of scissor in my hand. Daddy and myself assured her that we are just trying to cut her shoes to release her.

GOD MUST HAVE CAME TO HELP HER cos she was released from the very tore shoes unhurt. The shoes was all stuck and damaged. Looking at it you would not have imaged how badly her toes is gotten be hurt, I just do not have a camera to take down the picture how badly stuck the shoes is.

During his time, Amber shed no tear at all. I guessed she must have a very rude shocked. We were really really gladful and lucky because I thought I have lose my daughter’s toes to the escalator ;(

When we were back at the chalet, Amber fall asleep soon since she have been feeling very tired. However both Daddy and Mummy could not get to sleep, we were tossing in the bed. Later Daddy and Mummy confessed that the scene are being replayed in their mind and they could not get to sleep at all.

Today AhQi Jiejie came over to help Mommy as later on need to bring Baby Kymber over to AhMa house. "Was also helping Mommy to complete her blog and this is the new outlook and hopes everyone would likes it. Efforts were put in and reward me soon! :] "

Aunt is out for F1 Formula Grand Final tonite and she dump the kids at home. Hahas~ Don't denied that fact, you got caught already! (: Alright, Singapore is holding the F1 car racing and its the first ever night race. Woohoo~ Worth catching it.

Suppose to upload some photos that were taken behind the Studio scenes. Last Saturday, Mommy, Daddy and the 2 berbers together with AhQi Jiejie over to 'OFFSTONE' studio for photo taking. Photos were well shot, thanks to the photographer alot

Kymber and Amber had a well experiences and nevertheless, they did enjoyed themself too. Kymber were totally into the groom! She dressed herself by choosing what she likes and wanted make-ups to be coat over her face. She look so much like a dolly! :]

The session took more than 2 hours and the kids were tired soon after but Mommy felt worth doing it. Once again, thanks to Defelyn's Jie Jie and Uncle Lance for their help.

Update, update, update.
Mommy was busy with work recently and sorry for the neglect ( if there is any ).

Went visiting Baby Kymber today and took quite a large number of photos. Catch her in action of feeding porridge herself and the cute post she made when she's angry. She's naughty and loves playing 'hide-&-seek' with Grandma, very cheeky cheeky. Unexpected actions would be found in her, very sweet & adorable. Simply dotes by many people. First outing with the kids since Kymber recovered from her fever. (though doc have advised that grown of tooth does not cause fever, but each time she have a fever, its due to her tooth -"coming out")

Went to visit Kymber last evening at my mum's place. When she saw me, she was smiling so sweetly and called mama.... mama....:D next, she held my hand, hint to me to take my bag and pointed to the main door. My poor darling had wanted me to bring her home so badly that she refused to let of my hand when I try to explain to her that she will not be returning home on Tues as mummy would need to work tommorrow.

After some coaching, she finally let go of my hand but only to follow me everywhere that I goes...... to the kitchen, toilet and room. She will just follow behind me or held on to my hand.

It really sadden me each time she reacted this way whenever I went to visit her during mid-week. As such, my annual leave have mostly been taken on either Friday or Monday in order that we could spent fairly more days with her at our own home.

Amber came home from school one day and hand me a piece of paper issued from her K1 class. She told me that she wants to take part in the Colouring competition which is to take place few weeks later at Khatib Plaza. Not sure if she really meant it, I did not take her seriously until she starts reminding me days after days that I have not sign on her registration form...............

Today, 26th July 08, had been an exhausted day for Amber. She had went for the Racial Harmony Day Art Colouring Competition.

Mommy had asked AhQi and AhHui Jiejie to tag along to guide Amber with her colouring! We headed out at 3.30pm to the destination. While on the way, Mommy just started to read the instruction note and realised that we might need to have a drawing board when colouring but we did not have any. Rushed to the nearest bookshop to get the stuff at the very last minutes. :D

Followed then, Mommy went to get registered while AhQi Jiejie and AhHui jiejie brought Amber to settle down at the drawing area (actually in one of the void deck). Amber got out all the materials needed (in fact only 1 set of colour pencils kekeke..........:))) and try to get herself settle.

Mommy came back with the official's drawing paper and Amber's registration tag (C1) and the colouring started........................

Half way through, Amber got wore out and she decided to give up. She started throwing temper and she would just throw her colour pencil after used. Mommy got her to rest for awhile and by massaging her shoulder to get her relax! Amber's strong will did not totally let us down. Amazingly, irregardless of how tired her hand is, she would still grab hold of the colour pencil and give a little push by bit and pieces~ Lols.

This goes on for merely 2hr. Mommy must thank AHQI JIEJIE for guiding Amber throughout the session. With the pushing from Mommy, AhQi and AH Hui to get her moving, the arts works finally finishes minutes before 6pm.

The organisers requested for all participants and parents to be back in an hour time for the result.

Looking at the hard work, Mommy decided to give all a treat at Macdonald.

To our amaze when we return, we saw Amber's work came in as 1st! Mommy got very excited and we are laughing so loudly in the public due to our happiness. Never thought that Amber would comes in first because the arts from the others were just as good.

Amber, Keep up this good work okays! :}

Amber went up to the stage looking confident and sweet. Hopefully thru this good experience, it will keep Amber going and build up her confidence and interest.

Mummy have not logged in for the past weeks nor have she update my blog lately as Kymber was down with high fever due to throat infection.
Poor Kymber mei mei have lose so much weight as her throat was in such bad condition and she could not take meal or drink milk properly like she used to do. She was also running away and crying for help each time the medicine is brought near her. Poor Mei Mei....

"Kymber, please get well soon so that we can play together again". I miss your lovely innocent smile :))".

Mummy Played for Corporate Netball

Amber came to lend her support to Mummy on this very Saturday. However she could not stand the heat as well, she asked daddy "why so sweat and hot"? and she is hungry haiz......... So they disappearred for 3 hours or so but came back to support us on our top 4 round robin knock out.

The game was tough under the unprectiable "rainy cum sunny" day but mummy's team managed to come in 3rd from a total of 17 teams. Congratulation!!!!

We were at Suntec's Bicycle Fair and nearly bought the Hello Kitty Bicycle and Motorcar for Kymber and Amber respectively.

Been away from Singapore last week and my blog is rotting, hahaha....... Apply for leave on Monday so as to make up for the lost of weekend with my two girls especially Kymber since I oni get to bring her back on Friday. Will be on another 2 more days of leave next week so hopefully I have more times with her then. Somehow I always felt guilty toward her especially as she is not able to be with us daily like most baby do with their parent. As such, I tend to attend to her 110% when she is around and I am gladful that she has been very attached to me. Things will be brighter in half a year time where she will be put in a child care centre just 2 blocks from where we lived now, not sure how is she going to react come that time but I am sure brave Kymber will be alright.

Little Kymber & Sister Amber

I will be back to office tommorrow after 2 weeks of Block Leave. How times past for the last 14 days......... Never regret staying home looking after Kymber and especially now that Amber is on school holiday as well, that make it a good chance for the three of us to spend times together as well.

I am really glad to witness Kymber first learning step, she is now able to walk quite fast with a little help like holding on to us or anything that she can rely on. She had no problem with "walking" on our King size bed though, guess she knew that if she ever fall she won't get hurt, haa haaa......

Instax Mini 7 Camera

This Mini Camera is a birthday pressie from Uncle Lance. It have kept Amber excited and busy the whole nite and she can't wait to set her hand on it. I finally agreed to her request after much please.... please... please mommy but limit to oni 3pics as the sweet and colourful film does not come cheap, neither is the camera itself.

Went to the Singapore Motherhood Exhibition with Aunty Priscilla. And you can see from the pics, the tons of baby stuff we have brought.

We have in total :
4 boxes of puzzles (good bargain as buy 1 get 1 free for oni $11.90),
6 boxes of Pampers for our Kela, Keia and Kymber.
4 sweet colourful Baby bags from Pamper, 3 was from the lucky draw (every S$80 are entitled to 1 lucky dip) and 1 from the goodies bag which I have subscript to the Motherhood's Magazine for 2 years.
2 bigs sets of the World Classic Fairytales - in its come with 16 Books + 8CD + 8VCD with a promotion of S$69.90 for each set
8 big bottles of Yu Ren Seng's Bird Nest (2 for S$110)
and not mentioning those goodies stuff in the goodies bag.............

Amber 5th Birthday

On this very special day, we had a small celebration
for her. Relatives and friends are invited to our
house. Fun time had been spent together. A super
duper hardy ice cream cake had been specially ordered from
Swensen to highlight the whole atmosphere. Everyone
had spent a nice time having dinner around the steamboat.

Creating This Blog

Finally decided to create a blog for my two daring with the help of my niece Sandy. Spent many hours deciding on the blogskin to be use. Make a few changes even after the first one was decided. I am a bit demanding when it come to the design - that what my nicec told me. Kekekeke.........

Also I have problem understanding how the template and blogskin work in order to be able to create a blog. After many experiencing and working on the setting and template, I have finally come out with something. Hope my two angels will love it like I do.
